Every student enrolled in a Texas public school in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 must be given the opportunity to take the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS). Although it is the intention to test every student in these grades, there are circumstances under which some students are not tested. Also, of the students who are tested, not all students' test performance is considered for a school or district's accountability rating.

The reports available from this website provide a breakdown of a school or district's TAAS (spring 1998) participation in the tested grades. For a description of the different parts of the report, see the AEIS Glossary.

You may access reports for schools, districts, regions, and the state.
