Charter Accountability Ratings
The following alphabetical list shows each charter operator and campus name, ID number, grade span, and
accountability rating and comments. The list also shows whether the charter qualified for a Gold
Performance Acknowledgment for Advanced Course Completion, AP/IB
Results, Attendance Rate, College-Ready Graduates, Commended on
Reading/ELA, Commended on Mathematics, Commended on Writing, Commended
on Science, Commended on Social Studies, Comparable Improvement
Reading/ELA, Comparable Improvement Mathematics, Recommended High
School Program, SAT/ACT Results, TSI for ELA or TSI for Mathematics.
The symbols under Gold Performance Acknowledgment signify the following:
- "++" the campus or district is acknowledged for GPA;
- "NQ" the campus or district were evaluated but did
not qualify for GPA; and
- a blank means that they were not evaluated for the acknowledgment.
Note that, beginning this year, the comments have been expanded to describe the use of additional features in the determination of the rating shown. Charters that Met Absolute Standards achieved their ratings without the use of Required Improvement (RI), the Texas
Projection Measure (TPM), or the Exceptions Provision (EP). For example, for charters evaluated under standard procedures, the comment, RI only, indicates that the assigned rating was achieved as a result of the use of the
Required Improvement feature for one or more of the assessment, completion, and/or dropout rate indicators.
Please note that if the Required Improvement and/or TPM features were used to achieve the 2010 rating, it cannot be assumed that the next lower rating would have been assigned if those features had not been applied. Since the Exceptions Provision allows districts and campuses to achieve a higher rating if specific criteria are met, it is possible that the rating assigned based on the use of RI and/or TPM would not differ from the rating assigned without the use of those two features.
For charter operators and alternative education campuses evaluated under AEA procedures, the AEA: Academically Acceptable ratings are shown as either needing TPM or not needing TPM. For example, AEA: AA-No TPM indicates that the AEA: Academically Acceptable rating was achieved without the use of TPM results.
In cases where there is no comment, the rating is either Academically Unacceptable, Not Rated, or the rating was changed due to an appeal.
