The Final 2009 AYP results reflect the effects of appeals and exceptions requested by districts. For more information about appeals, please see our AYP Appeal Guidelines. For more information about exceptions, please refer to Section IV of the AYP Guide, which provides information on the evaluation of Exceptions for Other Circumstances.

Hurricane Ike Provision Districts and Campuses - Districts and campuses evaluated for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as required under the federal accountability provisions of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act are eligible for special consideration under the Hurricane Ike Provision. Under the USDE approved provision, districts and campuses that miss AYP for either the Reading or Mathematics indicators only will not be evaluated on those indicators in 2009 AYP evaluations.
