Download Format:

Comma Delimited (.txt) – This is the only format available. Download files must be saved instead of opened to work properly. All download files exceed 256 columns (which is the limit for Excel versions earlier than 2007). The number of data elements can exceed 2000 columns. Save the download file as follows:

Do you want to open or save this file? Select Save.
The saved file is a comma delimited format which can be opened by various data processing programs.

Important Note:
Download prompting must be enabled in your web browser to save the comma-delimited text file. If the text file automatically opens without asking to save, consult your browser documentation to enable prompting. Once prompting has been enabled, save the text file prior to opening.

Data Elements:

The advanced data download option provides numerators, denominators, and rates at the campus, district, region or state level in a comma-delimited format. The number of data elements can exceed 2000 columns. This advanced download does not include the Excel format.

ID number for Campus, District or Region:

All campus, district and region downloads have as the first column the ID number. This number must be treated as text because some applications will delete leading zeroes.

Column Names and Description:

Go to the Master Reference for Data Elements Used in TAPR for a detailed description of the downloaded elements. The TAPR Data Dictionary provides a mock up of the report with each cell labeled according to the download.
