Snapshot 2003 Summary Tables Tax Rate

Districts are grouped into four tax rate categories, or quartiles, with approximately equal numbers of districts in each. This category shows the total locally adopted tax rate, the rate established by each local school district for the 2002-03 school year and reported to the State Comptroller. The 191 non-taxing districts (charters and the special statutory districts) are in a separate category because they do not collect property taxes and have no tax rates.
