Class of 2011 Campus Graduation Summary
| What is the campus graduation summary? |
| The campus graduation summary shows the graduation status of a beginning group of ninth grade students. First-time grade 9 students in 2007-08 were tracked through the 2011 fall semester following their expected graduation date in May 2011. |
| The summaries sometimes don't give exact numbers instead saying, for example, "fewer than five" or "fewer than 100." Why? |
| The agency is required to comply with federal regulations to protect student privacy, and the agency does this by not publishing small numbers of students. In place of small numbers, the phrase "fewer than five" is used. Numbers larger than five will not be shown when a reader could figure out the small student count by using addition and subtraction with the other numbers provided. In these cases, the exact number is not shown and a phrase is used (e.g., fewer than 100) to give the reader an idea of the size of the actual number. |
| How are the campus graduation summaries related to the four-year, on-time graduation rates available elsewhere on TEA's website? |
| Both the campus graduation summaries and the four-year, on-time graduation rates available elsewhere on TEA's website show the number of students from a group of ninth graders who graduated, were still in school, received General Educational Development certificates (GED), or dropped out. The campus graduation summaries include additional information: they provide information on the students who transferred into each campus and on those who transferred out. To see a campus's actual graduation rate, use the four-year, on-time graduation rates. |

| The four-year, on-time graduation rates can be found using the High School Completion, Graduation, and Dropouts Data Search. |
| When will the class of 2012 campus graduation summaries be available? |
| The class of 2012 campus graduation summaries will be available early August 2013. |
